These instructions assume you are using Internet Explorer with Service Pack 2. If you are not, your screens may appear slightly differently. To begin, click on the 802.1x installer. You will see a screen like Figure A; press the "Run" button.

You will see a welcome message like that shown in Figure B. Press the "Next" button to continue. You will see the installer operating for a few moments, then you should see the screen shown in Figure C. Read the instructions, then press the "OK" button. If you are prompted, click "OK" or "Yes."

After a while, you should see a message like that shown in Figure D. Press the "Next" button. On the next screen, as shown in Figure E, read the license agreement and then press the "I Agree" button to install Secure W2.

Next, you should see a screen like that shown in Figure F. Press the "Install" button. After a few moments, you should see the screen shown in Figure G, which may prompt you to reboot. Press the "Finish" button to reboot and complete the installation of Secure W2.

After your computer has finished rebooting, go to the Start menu, then go to Control Panels, and finally Network Connections. Find your wireless connection, then right click on it and choose properties, as shown in Figure H. On the resulting window, choose the "Wireless Networks" tab as shown in Figure I. Press the "Advanced" button, and ensure that the resulting screen matches Figure J. Press the "Close" button to return to the screen shown in Figure I. Then press the "Add..." button.
Ensure that the resulting screen looks like that shown in Figure K, then select the "Authentication" tab at the top. Ensure that the resulting screen looks like Figure L, then press the "Properties" button.

You will see a screen like Figure M. Press the "Configure" button. Ensure that the resulting screen looks like Figure N, then choose the "Certificates" tab.

Under the "Certificates" tab, ensure that "Verify server certificate" is checked as shown in Figure O, then press the "Add CA" button. Scroll down the list until you find "NS Root Certificate," and select it as shown in Figure P. Press the "Add" button.

The "Certificates" tab should now appear like Figure Q. Select the "Authentication" tab as shown in Figure R, and ensure that "PAP" is selected.

Finally, select the "User account" tab. It should look like Figure S, except that mynetid should, of course, be your own Net ID, and Password should be your Net ID's password. Click the "OK" button, and any additional "OK" buttons needed to close out any windows you've opened. Ensure that "nomadx" is listed above "nomad" under "Preferred Networks" on the "Wireless Networks" tab of your Connection Properties window (as shown in Figure I).
